Transparency International Belgium’s Leadership Transition
Brussels, Belgium, April 15, 2024
Transparency International Belgium (TIB) extends its sincere gratitude to Thomas Vermaerke for his service as the Executive Director over the past three years and welcomes Marc Beyens as his successor.
During his tenure, Thomas Vermaerke has made valuable contributions to Transparency International Belgium. His leadership has played a role in modernizing certain aspects of the organization and laying foundations for future endeavors. In his departing statement, Thomas Vermaerke remarked, “Transparency International Belgium will continue to advocate for more transparency from all private and public stakeholders as it is utmost important power is held into account.”
As TIB bids farewell to Thomas Vermaerke, it welcomes Marc Beyens as the incoming Executive Director. With his demonstrated expertise and dedication to transparency and accountability, Marc is well-positioned to lead TIB into its next phase of development.
The Chairman of Transparency International Belgium, Dominique Dussard, expresses his appreciation for Thomas Vermaerke’s contributions and extends a warm welcome to Marc Beyens. Together, with the support of its Board, and Staff, TIB looks forward to continuing its important work in advancing transparency and accountability.
