Getting Ready for February 11: What You Need to Know About the 2024 Corruption Perception Index

Transparency International will release its 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index on Tuesday, 11 February 2025 at 6:01 ? 

What is the CPI? 

The Corruption Perceptions Index is a composite indicator that measures perceived corruption in the public sector. It provides an annual comparative snapshot of 180 countries and territories. It assigns a score on a scale from 0 to 100 where 100 indicates no corruption and 0 signifies a highly corrupt environment. What were Belgium’s results in the 2023 Corruption Perception Index ? 

Last year, Belgium scored 73/100, while the European Union average stood at 64/100. Despite this ranking, a special Eurobarometer survey on Corruption conducted by the European Commission for its annual Rule of Law report, revealed that 62% of Belgians still believed that corruption was widespread.
