Introducing Transparency International Belgium at the Société Royale d’Economie Politique de Belgique

Last week, whad the opportunity to introduce Transparency International Belgium (TI-Be) and its activities to the members of the renowed Société Royale d’Economie Politique de Belgique (Koninklijke Vereniging voor Politieke Economie van België), founded in 1855 

The seminar “l’Economie face à la corruption was introduced by Prof.drP.Guillaume Meonwho went through scientific literature on determinants of corruption and its consequences. Corentin Hericher, professor at UCLouvain and board member of TI-Be, presented the Corruption Perception Index and what it tells about a country. Gudrun Vande Walle, executive director of TI-Be and visiting professor at Ghent University explained why the ngo still has a raison d’être and how TI-Be works every day to create awareness in societyWe had an excellent discussion moderated by Magali Caroline Van Coppenolle.
